I will admit I was surprised to learn how poorly this 2013 song performed on the American charts.  Made it to #4 in Norway and #12 in Denmark.  Granted, the duo is Norwegian.  But the song barely cracked the American charts -- 72 on Billboard Hot 100, 29 on US Adult Contemporary, and 19 on US Pop charts.  There are several examples of songs that did not originally chart well, but became hits after landing a spot in a movie soundtrack or some other event.  Could this one be past its prime?

I guess I am paying homage to my Norwegian heritage by showing this song a little love.

Gig Highlights - Aug 22 2025

Word on the street is that G&L has ceased operations.  Sad news!  I hope they find new life soon somehow.  Meanwhile, that must make this "Honeyburst" Fullerton Deluxe L-2500 a collector's item.  

I tend not to take it on gigs, mainly because it's such a beast.  Lighter and less valuable instruments are better suited for those long, late night bar gigs.  

But I love this bass!

In honor of G&L, I whipped up this little custom remix of Charlie Puth's "Attention".  

G&L, I hope you get some love and attention... And cash infusion!  Thank you for crafting a such a fine bass!
